Development and Implementation Operating Model

Development and roll out of an Operating Model for the operations department of a utilities provider in the Netherlands. Challenges included:

  • A large backlog of projects, yearly fed with more projects from Asset Management
  • Inability to have real world insight into current status of the projects
  • Inability to plan on an tactical and strategic level enabling a controlled backlog
  • Inefficient way of working regarding the setup and executing projects

During the project our team was able to:

  • Get up to date insights into all ongoing projects
  • Setup a new operating model allowing an efficient planning using operational, tactical and strategic processes
  • Improve the efficiency in planning and executing projects by standardizing approaches and using automation for swift execution
