Development and roll out of an Operating Model for the operations department of a utilities provider in the Netherlands. Challenges included:
- A large backlog of projects, yearly fed with more projects from Asset Management
- Inability to have real world insight into current status of the projects
- Inability to plan on an tactical and strategic level enabling a controlled backlog
- Inefficient way of working regarding the setup and executing projects
During the project our team was able to:
- Get up to date insights into all ongoing projects
- Setup a new operating model allowing an efficient planning using operational, tactical and strategic processes
- Improve the efficiency in planning and executing projects by standardizing approaches and using automation for swift execution
